I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 9 years experience working with adults, adolescents, groups, couples and families. I have worked alongside clients dealing with addiction, impulse control disorders, anxiety, depression, parenting problems, abuse, trauma, domestic violence and life adjustment issues. I have supported clients as they navigated through the court system, as well as Department of Children & Families and Department of Transportation System.

I have resided in Orlando since 1999. I earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida (#MH10829) as well as in the process of becoming a Qualified Supervisor for Florida Registered Counseling Interns. Through the years, I have worked in a variety of counseling settings that have contributed to my experience of the evaluation and treatment process while also providing me with an extensive understanding of the court/legal system. I have enjoyed working in residential and outpatient addiction treatment facilities, private mental health residential housing, as well as public school settings. Behind the scenes, I have been called upon numerous times to to provide professional testimony on behalf of/related to probation, DUI and DCF involved clients.

In my work, I am consistently dedicated to creating a safe and understanding space for clients, while also providing an excellent level of care. My approach is eclectic- employing techniques from various theories including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Choice Theory. My evaluation and counseling style is compassionate, interactive and professional. I whole-heartedly believe that your story matters and will tailor your evaluation and/or treatment recommendations to your unique goals and needs.

I strive to emphasize mental wellness versus disorders and believe that there are various roads to change and wellness. As a counselor, I am proud to have supported many clients on their paths to recovery (be it recovery from addiction, mental health illness and/or the legal troubles often associated with these). I know it takes courage to take the first step and although we can’t change the circumstances of your past, we can work together for a better future for you. So whether you’re seeking a Substance Abuse/Mental Health Evaluation for your court-related issues or would benefit from an assessment for yourself or a loved one, I would be honored to help you on that journey.
